1. Where can I get the Mammut packing list app?
Visit the iTunes App-Store and search for Mammut packing list or, even easier, simply follow the direct download link.

2. Do I have to pay for the Mammut packing list app?
You already pay enough in your life. Mammut is therefore offering the packing list app free of charge!
3. Is the Mammut packing list app also available for Android or other mobile operating systems?
For what? (-; No, the Mammut packing list app is currently and in the near future only available for the iPhone.
4. Can the Mammut packing list app only be used for demanding alpine tours?
If you are not at least on the same level as Stephan Siegrist or David Lama then there is little point in downloading the Mammut packing list. Nonsense! The app is suitable for everyone. You can even use it to organise your next party with friends. Check it out...
5. Why must I create a profile in order to use all the features of the app?
The packing lists and individually added items need to be stored somewhere in a customised fashion. The login is stored in the app and you're automatically logged in every time you open the Mammut packing list. Besides, a Mammut login will only bring you benefits in the future: So sign up today!
6. How do I create a new packing list?
Press the '+' button on your home screen.
7. How do I create a team?
Once you've created a packing list, you can invite your team members. It doesn't matter whether they already have the Mammut packing list app. As soon as you have sent your invitation they will receive a link to download the packing list app.
8. How do I add additional team members to a packing list?
Pressing the 'Team' button will take you from the packing list to the team list. Here you can invite additional team members to your tour.
9. How do I add a new item?
Press the '+' button when you are in a packing list.
10. What is the difference between 'Normal item', 'Team item' and 'Private item'?
'Normal item' = Normal items will be visible to all team members. If you change them, your team will be informed about those changes. You pack these items yourself.
'Team item' = Some equipment only needs to be taken along on the tour by one team member, for example a tent, rope or camping table. By creating a Team item and appointing a person in charge, you can make your colleague responsible for hauling the tent. Convenient, right? If your colleague doesn't fancy the tent, he or she will reject the Team item. That's then tough luck for you.
'Private item' = Maybe you want to take an item with you your team should not know about. For example a birthday surprise! If you save this item as a 'Private item', it will only be visible in your packing list. Your team won't know about it.
11. How can I assign a Team item to the responsible person?
Open the Team item and under Responsibility assign it to the relevant person. Warning! This item can now only be edited by the responsible person, unless it is re-assigned to another person.
12. How do I change the number of an item?
Open the item and change the number. Pretty simple...
13. How can I write a comment?
Open an item and write your comment in the comment field. You can add links to relevant pictures and videos, for example maps, hiking guides, product recommendations.
14. What is the purpose of the 'Note to me' field?
Maybe your team members should not know everything. Here you can enter secret notes that only you can see. 00Mammut style.
15. What do the different symbols signify on the various items?
The blue dot means that there has been a change in the item or a new comment has been added. Be sure to check! The two heads in the packing list show you immediately that the item is a Team item.
16. How can I tell what I have already packed?
Well, not much we can do there for you... No, to do this press the grey circle to the left of the item. A 'ticked off' symbol will appear.
17. What do the buttons 'All', 'My' and 'Missing' mean?
With these buttons you can apply a filter to your packing list.
'All' = All items of a packing list will be displayed.
'My' = Only the items you are in charge of will be displayed.
'Missing =' Displays all items you haven't ticked off so far.
18. Are my packing lists also available offline?
No, this is currently not possible. But when you are preparing a tour you will normally be on digitally developed terrain and if you want to check your packing list when you are on your tour it's too late anyway! Not packed is not packed, whether you can view your packing list or not.
19. Can I edit the settings of the Mammut packing list app?
Yes, go to the iPhone Settings and press the Mammut packing list icon.
20. Are there any other Mammut apps?
